Work with the personnel reserve at the Company

One of the main tasks of Kubanenergo in the field of personnel management is forming and training a personnel reserve. There are two types of personnel reserve being formed in the Company — a management personnel reserve and a general personnel reserve. Work with the reserves is carried out in accordance with the Statement on Personnel Reserve and the Statement on the Young Specialist Personnel Reserve in force at the Company.

The management personnel reserve is formed with the aim of meeting, in an effective and quality manner, the Company’s need for employees trained for the following management positions:

According to the results of competitive selection at the end of 2011 there were 948 employees in the management personnel reserve.

With the aim of supplementary training for management positions for employees in the management personnel reserve plans for individual development have been developed, in accordance with which training was provided to the reserve in the accounting year. The reserves took part in business training courses and Senior Engineer School and Dispatcher Training School vocational retraining programmes. For workers in the reserve in an electricity network district head position work placements were organised in branch management structures.

To attract young workers to resolve pressing problems in the electricity sector and improving their professional competence and provide assistance to them in career growth the Company carried out work on forming a young specialists’ personnel reserve in 2011. Promising employees up to the age of 35 with excellent development potential were selected for the young specialists’ personnel reserve.

137 employees from branches took part in the competitive selection, of which 91 were electricity network employees. 78 people joined the ranks of the young reserves of the branches, of whom 52 were electricity network employees.

88 workers from branches and the executive establishment at Kubanenergo took part in the competition to be included in the Company’s youth personnel reserve, of whom 40 joined the reserve as a result.

Lists of the young specialists’ personnel reserve were examined at the Human Resources and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors at Kubanenergo and approved by the Board.

In 2012 work will be carried out in the Company and its branches on developing the members of the youth personnel reserve. A target position and mentor have been identified for each member. In April 2012 individual development plans will be drawn up to be executed by reserve members with the assistance of the mentors. The plans suggest not only training on seminars and courses but also development in the work place and participation in development work.
